Contrary to many beliefs, Germans did not invent beer! It has recently been discovered that it has been brewed as far back as 13,000 years ago in the middle east. But Germans do however have a long history with the alcoholic beverage. German monasteries have been known to brew beer for mass consumption since the end of the first millennia. Therefore it is deeply rooted in the culture and history. So for this night we are drinking it!
